Jon's Father Eldon Ashdown is not doing well. Last Saturday the 9th of February Eldon had eaten breakfast and Lunch and then around 5:30 or 6:00 p.m. that night the family was trying to get him awake to come to dinner but he was not resonsive. That is when they called home health and they called 911. After they got to the hospital they did a cat scan and found out that he had a stroke. Today is February 17 and as of right now we do not know if he has passed but yeasterday it seemed to me that his breathing had changed and that time was coming close. It has just been really hard watching this all over again as I did most of Grandpa. Eldon has been opening his eyes some times when Jon and I were there and then he would try to talk and it was just heart breaking to not be able to understand him. Marian is just doing the best that she can taking care of his every need and trying her best to keep it together she said that she will fall aprart later. At least Eldon is at home so she can get things ready for the funeral and be with family and also get some sleep. I just hope that he can go home soon so that he can see the family that he has not seen for some time. Eldon is 90 and his mother died when he was 2 and his father when he was 17 so he has some cautching up to do for sure. Life is like a box of Chocolates you never know what you are going to get.
