Trip to Federal Way

I had a great trip to Federal Way and the snow came while I was there. It doesn't stay long there though.
On the 2nd we went to Lacey to the Shipwreck Bead store.  I really have enough to do lots of things now. I almost have them sorted.  It was fun, someday I wouldn't mind going back.
They even had a snack bar if you spend to much time.
In Lacey they also have a Cabela's it is almost as good as the zoo but the animals are stuffed except for the fish. It was fun to see all of them. The fish were big and we all would like to catch them.
I made it home with a purse full of beads. They had to inspect my purse, all they could see was a big ball of black. After he got them out he said you've got a lot of beads there.  The plane from Seattle was late leaving so we got to Salt Lake late but the plane to Cedar was delayed so I made the plane and got home to everyone at the airport.  It was fun to see them all. We went to the house and emptied the suitcase that was full of pants from Julie.  It was a good trip and everything went well. It did snow today but I did get all the Christmas decorations down and put away. Yay. I hope it does get warmer, it was cold in Federal Way but not as cold as here. The ice is thick and getting thicker.

Gwen's Birthday

We had a fun party for Gwen she had a hard time getting the candles blown out.  I think she was to excited.

Mom's Christmas

Dee Ann sent these to mom for Christmas and she wore it on Christmas.

Back to the Swing of Things

I guess its time to get back into the swing of things. Today was my first day back to school with cold and all in more ways than one. Meaning that I have a cold, it is freezing outside, and it is freezing in the school. They can't get it warm enough in here because it is so stinking cold outside. So it is really cold in many ways. I guess that just makes it even nicer to go home and have a bath or snuggle up in a blanket. It makes me excited to get home. I am always excited to get home but even more now. This first day back has been pretty casual my kids have just had mostly a free day playing The Game of Life and what not. It has been nice for me hopefully them as well! Tomorrow we are getting back into the whole "learning" scene so hopefully it was nice before they do that. Some of my classes have to take tests so this week my students will just be studying away. Fun for them I hope I just taught them the things they need to know for the test because I can't see what is on the test at all. I can see what the standards are and the number of questions that go with them but that is it. So hopefully it all works out for them because in a sense that reflects on what kind of teacher I am or how good I am doing. Things are good so far. It was actually nice to get back home and sleep in our own bed I actually slept last night for a change. I guess I slept when we were on vacation but not really through the night and not really that well at all so its nice to be back for that reason and it feels that it was time even though breaks are always great! Joe and I were talking about how great really the fact that I am a school teacher is because they have such great breaks. How many other jobs get that long off from work. Anyway I was just thinking how blessed in so many ways we are! Especially, to have a job and one that helps us out quite a bit. To have food on the table, money in the bank, roof over out heads. The list goes on and on! Anyway, sorry for my long spill. I just noticed nobody has posted on here for awhile. Lea

SNOW, SNOW AND MORE SNOW!!

We have had a week of off and on snow. Yesterday we had a big storm and we got more tonight. I have shoveled the driveway 4 or 5 times and I wish it had a heater in it to melt the snow. I think we will have a white Christmas. I guess Las Vegas got some of the storm and snow that we got tonight.

This is what the  driveway looked like tonight when we got home after I had it all cleaned off.

This was before tonight's storm.  Riley came today and was surprised at the snow. He said the pond was snowy.

Actually I was asked to bring a Christmas program. Three weeks ago Roshell's family and I went to Hurricane to see Dale. I talked him into coming out into the main room to listen to Kyler and Shelsey play the piano. As we were getting set up the "Social Director" from the center came in and asked us if we would come and do a Christmas program. I thought it would be a good chance to get Dale out of his room again so we set it up and invited Dale's family to join us. Tonia and her family were the only ones able to come.It is always nice to have things work. We all enjoyed doing it and I think that Dale was happy to have us come.

It was very nice. Thank you Lucile and ALL for making it happen. We go and see him now and then but it is nice to have others with us, espeically FAMILY!!!! You all are very wonderful and great. Thanks again and Merry Christmas. My son kept saying today that he really had a great time at Grandpa Dale's. Blessings are everywhere, big and small, we just need to look for them.

Jane has a blog

For those who didn't notice I or Abe added a link to Crazy Jane's blog. She just started one and it is fun like all of them.  I really enjoy reading them. I am not a writer so it is great that we have some that can and will for the rest of us.  Keep up the writing and sharing.
