Dresses

It was dress time, Kira wanted one for a dance and Kya wanted one for her Cruise. Kira designed hers with the help of a pattern, we did it.

Kya picked the pattern and we did some different things to  it. The sleeves or shoulder straps come out so covers more that's why they look different.

Shells

Tonia and Jon went to Florida for a two week trip. She picked up lots of shells.  The neckless is what she made for Mother's Day.

Easter

Easter was so nice this year no snow. We had the hunt, kids could play  outside.  I had some eggs  for  them to dye and I put them on the table out side.  It worked out great.

I did some remoldeling of the front yard the bushes are gon on the corner. I planted new bushes and more flowers.

This is the back yard corner all cleaned up.

Museum for scouts

Sally called one day and said lets go to the Museum because Eli needed to go to a museum. I remembered to take pictures. Was really interesting to see pictures of old Cedar. I learned lots of things.

Sewing

March and April was sewing for the Ballroom Dance group. Kya is in it and they come here for repairs. I said I could make skirts for one dance. I think there were 6 or seven of them. We went to the program last week and they turned out really good.
One of the dancers wanted to do a dance with a cape so Kya said she would make it. With a little help this is what we came up with and it worked out really good. He preformed it in the program.
Another Friend of Kya's needed an outfit for a contest he was in. He wanted the example below and you can see what I turned out . It was a fun challenge.

Alex Ashdown poses with his second grade class and his dog, Boxie, on his birthday last Wednesday. Alex was born on Feb. 29, so he has only had two years he could celebrate on his actual birthday.
CEDAR CITY – Alex Ashdown was born eight years ago last week, but he has only celebrated two birthdays on the actual day of his birth.

His mother, Tonia, said they weren’t expecting him to come on Feb. 29, as he was a few weeks early, and he hasn’t really understood or enjoyed being born on the day until this year. In common years, they celebrate his birthday on Feb. 28, she added.

Alex is in Mrs. LaDawn Berkey’s second grade class at Fiddlers Canyon Elementary, and the class spotlights each student on his or her birthday. For Alex’s spotlight, he brought his mom, his dad, Jon, and his dog, a miniature schnauzer named Boxie.

Alex said this year he has enjoyed joking around with his family and his class about being born on Leap Day.

“It’s mostly fun,” he said. “I’ve been alive for eight years and I’m 2.”

My sisters say that I’m going to die at a young age,” he added.

Berkey said Alex is a good student and she enjoys having him in her class.
